NVR: a realistic option?
Israel uses certain tools (for example a checkpoint) and its security forces (for example in a checkpoint) to allow free movement of Israelis and restrict movement of Palestinians. As a result, Israel exerts complete control over Palestinian land. To sabotage this control two approaches are possible:

  • Preventing the free movement of Israelis,
  • Removing the tools of occupation, thus making it impossible for Israel to restrict movement of Palestinians.

In absence of effective countermeasures, Israel would have to end the occupation. Whether NVR is a realistic option, is analysed in the following four sections (reading time approximately 20 minutes):

  1. Preventing free movement of Israelis
  2. Removing tools of restriction
  3. Possible Israeli countermeasures
  4. Conclusion

Relevant aspects in detail
A successful NVR campaign against Israel would require careful planning based on a correct assessment of all relevant aspects of the situation. Those which came to the webmaster’s mind are named in the following sections:

The aspects and questions raised there will need further reflection and research to reach the necessary quality and depth to be of relevance.

Your contribution
The required reflection and research will have to be a joint effort of everyone interested in the subject. Every reader has the opportunity to comment or take part in a poll in every section. If someone wants to write a longer piece, (s)he can contact the webmaster (webmaster@no-peace-without-justice.net). The webmaster would publish the piece as a separate section or integrate it in the existing sections, both of course only with the author’s approval.
